Details

Give yourself more options for off-road adventures. This lightweight composite hardtail features 27.5+ wheels and tires for added grip and control on rugged terrain. As a bonus, you can convert it to a 29er for XC stability and speed.

Handcrafted with superlight Advanced grade composite, this versatile hardtail opens up a world of opportunity for off-road performance. In its 27.5+ configuration, you can run oversized tires for confident handling on rough and rowdy singletrack. It can also be transformed into a race-oriented 29er—or even a singlespeed setup*. The frame is designed with quick and stable geometry that’s optimized for a 120mm suspension fork. And it also features wider Boost hub spacing to improve wheel stiffness and maximize tire clearance.

* Fork compatibility may vary.

KEY PERFORMANCE FACTORS

XC and trail efficiency
- Advanced Composite frameset is superlight and laterally stiff, with engineered compliance for efficient climbing and acceleration on XC terrain.

XC/Trail Versatility
- Option to use 29er wheel size for speed and stability, or 27.5+ for more rugged and adventurous terrain.

Off-road innovations
- Tubeless Ready Giant WheelSystem, Boost hub spacing and 27.2 composite seatpost for compliance are all designed to improve off-road performance.

A dropper seatpost allows you to quickly lower and raise your seat to give you an ideal riding position. Dropping your seat creates a lower center of gravity for better control and maneuverability on steep descents, while raising it puts you at normal riding height for efficient pedaling.

Construction can include either hydraulic- or cable-actuated systems and the post’s travel can either be infinitely adjustable or stopped at set intervals, depending on the model.

Dropper seatposts come in standard lengths and diameters and vary by the amount of travel.

Wider than standard yet narrower than fat, plus-size rims and tires hit the sweet spot in grip, stability, and speed, giving you more confidence on technical terrain. Compared to a standard tire you’ll feel grip in places you wouldn’t expect thanks to a bigger contact patch and greater rollover clearance. More air volume allows lower tire pressures which softens bumps and increases float on sand or snow. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, the benefits of plus-size tires and rims will amplify your mountain biking fun.
